If successful you will be given a conditional offer and then accepted depending on your results in August.
Players will study a variety of nationally-recognised qualifications within sport, coaching and fitness managed by SCL.
Where required students will study Maths and English GCSE or Functional Skills.

There will be a subsidised cost for purchasing training kit at the start of the season. Further details about this will be provided upon the player’s acceptance into The Football Academy.

Each player will develop at different speeds and we have the tools to plan for individuality. Fitness and nutrition plans will be given to players based on their needs, the learning environment will be adapted to meet the demands of each individual player to ensure he reaches his full potential.
Lloyd is a UEFA Qualified Coach and within his role as Football Education Manager he will oversee the programme as a whole. Lloyd will deliver coaching sessions whilst ensuring the programme meets the high standards required to develop the players as footballers and as people. Running along side this will be education sector which will be run and over seen by Ben Seymour-Shove, both of whom have played together for St Ives Town first team.
Lloyd, originally from Essex, was a product of Colchester United's Academy for 7 years, as a player, before then beginning a career within coaching and youth development. Lloyd has had coaching spells with clubs such as Leyton Orient FC, Chelsea FC, Brisbane Roar FC, Histon FC (Academy Manager) and most recently his role as Assistant Manager for Soham Town Rangers FC. Lloyd has worked with players of all ages and aided players' in gaining full time employment in the sporting sector whilst supporting players university applications both in this country and abroad
BEN SEYMOUR SHOVE
Ben is a former professional footballer for Peterborough United who went onto complete a Sports Coaching Degree at university following his departure from Peterborough as a Professional. He now plays Semi Professional for St Ives Town First Team and scored the winning goal in the 2015/16 Play Off Final in front of 1500 supporters to secure promotion for his home town club.
Ben’s role combines both the delivery of the theory BTEC lessons whilst also assistant Lloyd Groves as Youth Team Coach.
